In March 1982 the first magazine issue of CANALE MODA is published.
Unlike traditional magazines it is distributed on video tape.
A new exclusive editorial avant-garde project is born. Thanks to the filming of fashion shows and interviews with professional fashion experts it becomes a capsule containing the best highlights of Milan’s and Paris fashion week.
Towards the end of the 80’s, as London Fashion Week first takes place, the format of the magazine is further developed, becoming a selected collection of Milan’s, Paris and London’s fashion weeks.
The first “special issues” with a focus on products such as evening dresses, knitwear, leather and fur, swimwear, menswear and wedding dresses are put together.
In 1992, ten years after its establishment the brand “Canale Moda” is recognized by the international market and is rebranded to “Fashion Channel.
In 1994, New York’s fashion shows are added to the video magazine’s portfolio.
Fashion Channel is the only content provider to partake in the launch of the three most prestigious fashion, event, luxury and lifestyle satellite networks in the world.
During its growth, Fashion Channel also provides and produces special video content for international magazines and important editorial groups.
